Dear SCAPR members,. Welcome to the 2023 third quarter edition of the SCAPR newsletter. 

As always, the aim of this newsletter is to give you a quick and concise update on all the past and future activities of SCAPR as well as ongoing developments in key issues.. 

We will logically start with a wrap-up of our Berlin Working Group in-person meetings, followed with an overview of the upcoming events.. 

The numerous cooperation and development activities in which SCAPR is involved at the moment will be mentioned. Other topics will be explored, such as the welcoming of a new provisional member within our ranks, the work done by the AI subgroup of the LWG or even the new SCAPR communication plan.. 

Since the Databases Bulletin is taking over that part, you will notice that very few articles will have a technical focus. If you are not a recipient of this Bulletin and want to know more about the recent technical developments, reach out to Secretariat and we will make sure that the latest edition is sent to you.. 

This newsletter, documenting the huge amount of work done by our community in the last few months, should and must also be interpreted as a thank you note to all the members involved in a way or another.. 

Don’t forget that this newsletter is also a platform for our members, for you, to share important work done inside and outside SCAPR. In that sense, feel free to submit articles and ideas for the next editions to the Secretariat..
